THE SONGS OF MARK JACKSON

SENSELESS As i trace the letters of your name, on the stone No one can give me, the reason you won't be home they say that when it rains, it's because the angels cry i wonder if these raindrops, are falling from your eye senseless, senseless was your death i wonder what you'd be like i shouldn't second guess it hurts momma cried the day you died, the ole' man was mad as hell and when i think about it, they died that day as well my thoughts of you are foggy, of times way back then i think i know you better, now then i did then it's not the times i remember, that i miss the most it's the times you won't be here, that i miss the most so when i'm sad and lonely, i know what i can do i can trace the letters of your name, and somehow i'll get through the day it hurts

all about you even though you're gone i felt your presence the other day already wrote one song but i still got more to say about you, you, all about you, yea you i'm sure it was you every hair was just right your shirt was buttoned loose and your blue jeans were skin tight the feeling i had some say is sad but i'm awful glad for the feeling i had about you, you, all about you, yea you like i said before your memories open up a door to a past i lost and now i realize how much it cost when i think of how you left i still have to shake my head like i said senseless when i think of how you left about you, you, all about you, yea you

This next song is based on larry's last letter, written the day before he died, and what i think might of been a couple of thoughts that might of passed through his mind at different parts of the day... not gonna make it look at that evening sky what a back drop for that neon sign no i don't have somethin matter with my eyes life is really lived through the mind (chorus) i lift my head and shake it i know i have to take it but for a moment i forsake it cause i dont think we gonna make it back this time she comes to me in a dream i wish i didn't see all this green she reaches out and lends me a hand i shake my head and there stands the man (chorus) glance at the flame all around i sense something wrong going down my life flashes right before my eyes and suddenly i realize (chorus) good bye my friends, good bye i know its hard to let loose the ties rest assured and be cured by the sound that i'll always be around

to comfort you i try to gather myself i try to pull myself, together but it's hard to do i try to purge myself i try to free myself, of feelings but it's hard to do then the times get rough and i try to find something to comfort you don't know where it comes from don't know where its gonna run but it's running, after you try to piece together all this stuff sometimes yea it's kinda rough and i still can't, touch you then the times get rough and i try to find something to comfort you can you give me the reason why i have to sit here and cry, alone over you one thing that i have learned is if you got a yearn, go get it for you then the times get rough and i try to find something to comfort you snow fallin' from the sky kinda takes away the pride, of earth but it looks good rain fallin' from the sky now i know that i don't cry, alone cause you're here then the times get rough and i try to find something to comfort you

flyin' car if i had it my way i'd build me a flyin' car and head out on the skyway in search of my own star and as i was on my way i knew i couldn't be far from passin' on by your way and wondering how you are i got a letter, that's got your name a treasure from the past and in the ink i can see the pain of a life that wouldn't last now i know some old friends of yours who were with you through the strief and now they say they'll be my friends until the end of life i got a picture that's got your face in a different time and place and every time i stare at it your expresion seems to change one time happy one time cryin' and one time you look real scared and one time you look real sad and then there's the thousand mile stare if i had it my way i'd build me a flyin' car and head out on the skyway in search of my own star and as i was on my way i knew i couldn't be far from passin' on by your way and wondering how you are
